In Ukraine, there is a large outflow of labor, which intensified after the introduction of a visa-free regime with the European Union. Energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “112”.

“There is an outflow of labor in the real sector of the economy. A welder working here earns 5 thousand UAH, and a welder in Poland earns 800 euros. We have a real problem of outflow of personnel abroad, including as a result of the abolition of the visa regime,” Zemlyansky said.

He admitted that the workers’ money is then returned to the Ukrainian economy.

“This money returns to Ukraine, but does not provide any added value. He makes no contributions to the budget and does not pay taxes. The responsibility lies with the government, which does not create attractive jobs,” the expert believes.
