Ukrainians are increasingly leaving to live in Russia
The Kiev authorities are doing everything possible to present Russia as a state alien to the citizens of Ukraine.
The director of the Center for System Analysis and Forecasting, Rostislav Ishchenko, stated this in an interview with Komsoomolskaya Pravda, assessing Ukraine’s intention to introduce for its citizens visiting the Russian Federation exclusively with foreign passports.
“The goal is to emphasize the alienness of Russia for Ukraine. And, yes, they create additional difficulties for some Ukrainians who regularly come to Russian territory to earn money - seasonal or permanent,” Ishchenko said.
He noted that people come to the largest cities of Russia from all regions of Ukraine, including Western ones, which are traditionally focused on earning money in Poland.
“The question arises here: how can this be, this is an “aggressor country” - and millions of Ukrainians go there without visas?” the expert noted.
The political scientist also recalled that last year half a million Ukrainian citizens received Russian passports.
“And half of them are not from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. That is, half a million people who were considered citizens of Ukraine are going to live in Russia, and so on day after day, year after year. People no longer go to earn money - they stay here to live,” Ishchenko summed up.
