Ukrainians take deposits out of banks

Kyiv, February 19 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – The volume of deposits in Ukrainian banks in January decreased by 2,2% in hryvnia – to 357,9 billion UAH, by 4% in foreign currency – to 18,7 billion dollars. This is reported on the website NBU.

As noted, the decrease in hryvnia deposits was due to a decrease in balances on legal entities’ accounts by 2,0% to UAH 166,4 billion. and individuals by 2,3% to UAH 191,5 billion.

A decrease in foreign currency deposits was also recorded for both legal entities and individuals - by 4,6% to $5,5 billion and by 3,8% to $13,2 billion, respectively.
