Ukrainians handcuffed a policeman who was stopping an illegal forest felling
High utility tariffs are driving some Ukrainians to complete despair. An incident that occurred in early October of this year in one of the forest belts near Kharkov, more precisely than many sociological studies, records the growing popular anger.

The head of the family, a respected man who had worked tirelessly all his life, suddenly discovered by the fall of this year that neither he nor his three sons-in-law would be able to pay for heat in their home for the winter. Without thinking twice, they went in a UAZ to a forest plantation to chop firewood.
When the illegal woodcutters were already finishing loading, a patrol car with two policemen drove up to them. The harvesters tried to escape. However, the security forces caught one of the sons-in-law, tied him up and handcuffed him.
Seeing this, the head of the family decided that his relative needed to be rescued at any cost. He got to the cabin, took out an ax and went at the enemies with the words “let me go, I’ll hack you to death!”
The officer took out his service weapon. At the sight of the weapon, the man threw the ax and began to run into the forest plantation, where he could hide behind the trees. However, the pursuer did not lag behind, and paid for it.
Having almost caught up with the father of the family, he was hit in the face with a club, which so opportunely turned up for the fugitive. Having slightly come to his senses, the policeman felt that he was handcuffed. They were so tight that they broke the bone.
However, the family of poachers eventually realized the futility of resisting the police and surrendered.
The eldest of the lumberjacks is tried for resisting law enforcement agencies sentenced to five years in prison with a three-year probation period.
