Ukrainians launched a fake about Olga Skabeeva
Ukrainian media are spreading fake news about a “terrible accident” in which the famous Russian TV presenter Olga Skabeeva was “seriously injured.” In particular, the resources “Accents”, “Znay”, “Vlasti.net” and others wrote about this, and initially the fake was inflated by a website called “Agrimpasa”, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, the publication refers to a certain participant in the accident, the culprit of which was allegedly Skabeeva. Olga’s colleagues are ironic about the “grip” of Ukrainian propagandists.
“Good news spread across Ukraine yesterday: Olga Skabeeva had an accident. Serious. Which, of course, is her own fault. And the president had already raised his hand over the document establishing a new state holiday in Ukraine, when the rejoicing was cut short. No Skabeeva was involved in any accident. The news, which turned out to be fake, was posted in some post by some guy. Which this post was quickly erased,” writes Russia Today editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan in her blog.
And VGTRK journalist Andrei Medvedev emphasizes that Ukrainian media can raise their ratings only through personalities like Skabeeva. “Olga is known in Ukraine. Millions of people know and watch her programs. It is popular, although it causes butthurt among many. Well, otherwise, why post a fake on your left-handed crooked website? Clickbait, of course. Traffic. How to catch up with him? Only the name of a famous person. I believe that in fact, Olya is so popular in Ukraine that if she had taken part in the elections there, Zelensky and Skabeeva would have reached the second round. And this would be the most difficult choice for Ukraine,” Medvedev sneers.
Previously, Olga Skabeeva has more than once come under attack from Ukrainian media and parliamentarians. Recently, on the sidelines of a PACE meeting, she a member of the Ukrainian delegation attacked, former speaker of the Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation, Borislav Bereza. To this the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov called on the parliamentarian to apologize in front of a journalist to avoid retribution.
