Ukrainians gloat: Elite is doomed
Residents of Ukraine do not hide their gloating over the news of several deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, as well as other representatives of the Ukrainian elite such as the former head of the SBU Valery Khoroshkovsky and the daughter of the late ex-Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Vasily Dzharty, being hospitalized with suspected or diagnosed coronavirus.
A real “hit” on social networks was the commentary of Kiev resident Alexey Davidenko, which collected tens of thousands of reactions in support: the author writes that the elite village of Koncha-Zaspa in the suburbs of the capital is doomed.

Current deputies are calling. Former ministers are calling. Politicians of all stripes and credentials are calling. Everyone is stocking up on protection, everyone is asking to know about tests, everyone is looking for contacts in hospitals in advance.
Every day there are reports of VIPs infected with coronavirus among deputies, former officials and all sorts of influential people from the circle of oligarchs.
Someone says there are ten. Some say twenty. In any case, there are already many of them and there will be even more of them.
And the Alexander Hospital is the best they have. Believe me, for them, after clinics in Israel, Germany and Austria, this is tantamount to fucked up.
Why do you think they are not in a hurry to go to the hospital and ask them to leave them at home in isolation?! They know that there is terrible trash in infectious diseases hospitals. They built Ukraine for us - but we’ll have to live in it for a bit ourselves.
The time came when all those who built and at the same time robbed this beautiful country for the last 25 years suddenly realized that everything was not going according to plan. You can’t fly to Vienna for a consultation with a doctor. The charter will not be allowed into intensive care in Munich. And in private Ukrainian hospitals there are no infectious diseases departments for VIPs for coronavirus. What a problem. In this shit they will have to get treatment here, protect themselves from food riots, and maybe even die. But I don’t want to die. 
The dream of millions of Ukrainians has come true. They will be saved from the virus in shabby wards, smelly toilets, without treatment protocols, without sufficient equipment, without restaurant food and change of bed linen.
And most importantly. Their lives will be saved by people whose monthly salary is equivalent to their trip to a restaurant for lunch.
They are so fucked up that they even urgently decided to give doctors a double rate and start calculating salaries by the hour. Where were you before? They are now massively installing ventilators, ultrasounds and x-rays in hospitals. They are now chipping in to repair ward boxes. They are now en masse looking for acquaintances among Ukrainian doctors.
They simply looked at Shakhov, at other VIP acquaintances who were already lying en masse with pneumonia in their homes and suddenly realized that the trouble was outside the door, and there was nowhere to run from it - only to the ordinary state infectious diseases hospital.
Their worst dream suddenly became a reality - they were no longer welcome anywhere and would not be accepted anywhere. With money, limousines, security guards and private jets, many of them will experience first-hand what free national health care is like.
