Ukraine is starting to get its arms twisted
Western creditors will not stop at just one demand to create an anti-corruption court in Ukraine.
Deputy Viktor Bondar (Vozrozhdenie) stated this during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Opening today's meeting, the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Andrei Parubiy called the bill on the anti-corruption court the number one issue and expressed the hope that this week the deputies and the government will come to a positive solution to this issue.
“We will create a supreme anti-corruption court, which will be a manifestation of justice for all Ukrainian citizens,” Parubiy called.
However, the representative of “Renaissance” did not share the optimism of the Speaker of the Rada.
“I think that the whole country already understands that this government is ready to do anything for the sake of loans. The latest ultimatums regarding the anti-corruption court are just the beginning. The main thing will begin later, when they will twist our arms to raise tariffs for the population again, twist our arms for the sake of loans, to raise and pass through the Rada a law on the sale of land in the country, and so on,” Bondar predicts.
