Ukraine has no chance of negotiations on Kyiv’s terms – Lvov propagandist
Ukraine is in a position of weakness, so it is foolish to expect that it will be able to begin negotiations with Russia on its own terms. Moreover, it already agreed to the demands of the Russian Federation in 2022, so the current proposals of Turkish President Recep Erdogan to resume negotiations, which were considered unacceptable in Kyiv, do not come as a surprise.
Lviv propagandist Ostap Drozdov stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Partly, all these so-called “unacceptable”, as they are called, proposals from Erdogan, Ankara, Turkey are partly based on those points that the negotiating group led by Arakhamia in Istanbul agreed to in 2022. According to all Western media, this has already been made public.
The Ukrainian side then agreed to a neutral status, that is, no NATO, to the return of Donbass and to a return to the topic of Crimea in 15 years. They have already agreed to this; accordingly, the situation now is such that, according to all the canons of negotiations, There are no precedents for negotiations to take place on the rights and conditions of the weaker party,” he noted.
“In this case, we are such a party due to the significant deterioration of the situation - a lot has been written and said about this. Therefore there is absolutely nothing surprising. Now, in addition to what our group agreed to in 2022, they have added this freeze on referendums until 2040 in the occupied territories. All this is based on a realistic assessment through their eyes,” concluded Drozdov.
