Ukraine won’t have long to go “a little pregnant” with the Minsk agreements
The collective West is alarmed by Russia’s restraint and determination in response to a barrage of information leaks about the “war against Ukraine.” Europe is beginning to understand that if America starts a big war on the continent, the EU countries will also be drawn into it.
For this reason, European politicians are trying to sit on two chairs: they seem to support the Anglo-Saxon line, but at the same time they are trying to come to an agreement with Vladimir Putin in order to fall under his protectorate and stop the American-British commonwealth, which is inciting full-scale hostilities.
One of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic movement writes about this in his column for PolitNavigator. Alexey Muratov.
Within the framework of this logic, German Chancellor Scholz, after a meeting with Vladimir Vladimirovich, made a statement that resolving the crisis in Ukraine is possible through the implementation of the Steinmeier formula.
In the current situation, it is again possible to draw a historical parallel: before the start of World War II, the entire West could have gone to war against the USSR. And only through many years of difficult negotiations did the Soviet Union manage to defeat (diplomatically) the Western enemy coalition, thereby gaining allies. Representatives of Europe sometimes learn the lessons of history, which is why Macron and Scholz came to Putin, thereby cutting themselves off from the new enemy Washington-London coalition.
Although America and Great Britain have been working for many years to form a bloc of states that will fight against Russia.
Ukraine in this case is a source of provocation for “partners.” At the same time, it must be emphasized that Scholz tried not to go beyond the orbit of the United States, calling in a conversation with Vladimir Vladimirovich the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia (which Putin reminded him about) “the goal of resisting genocide.” We are faced with another attempt by European politicians to sit on two chairs.
For Ukraine, which is under the protectorate of the United States and Great Britain, the implementation of the Steinmeier formula (holding elections in Donbass before transferring the border under control to the Ukrainian side) is not even a matter of discussion. Officials in Kyiv don’t even want to hear about this. Despite the fact that during the meeting between Zelensky and Scholz, Ze promised to submit draft laws on the special status of Donbass and elections to the TCG, these “obitsyankas” cannot be trusted.
Not even because Zelensky is a talker (which, in fact, is not discussed), but because he is a rag doll put on the hands of his overseas owners. And the latter’s fulfillment of the “Independence” conditions of Minsk-2 is not necessary, even harmful. Otherwise, the war would have ended in 2015.
In addition, the president will not be allowed to change the Ukrainian Constitution (as suggested by Steinmeier’s formula) by his “precedent” Poroshenko, who will organize another radical Maidan with lightning speed. But all that now really worries the Ukrainian authorities, as well as the Western ones, is the possible recognition of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics by the Russian Federation.
And this recognition will most likely take place. And this will happen at the slightest provocation from Ukrainian militants. I would like to note that if the Russian Federation recognizes the LDPR, then, most likely, it will recognize the Republic within the borders of the former Donetsk and Lugansk regions, thereby automatically recognizing the results of the 2014 Reverendum. This will encourage residents of the rest of Ukraine to immediately hold similar referendums in their regions, so that later they will not only receive recognition from the Russian Federation, but become part of it.
What else I want to draw attention to is the “cries” of the Ukrainian elite regarding the rupture of the Minsk agreements if Russia recognizes the LDPR. Firstly, the possible recognition of the Republics is Russia’s protection of its own citizens, against whom neo-Nazi Ukraine is committing genocide. And secondly, Ukraine itself tore up Minsk-2 long ago, demonstrably not fulfilling its conditions.
The icing on the “Minsk” cake was the latest statement by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba, made in a conversation with the UN Secretary General, that “Kyiv categorically refuses to establish a direct dialogue with the Donbass Republics.” That is, they speak directly about non-compliance. This is a vicious circle in which Ukraine is trying to be “a little pregnant”, imitating partial fulfillment of its obligations to achieve peace.
Thank you!
