Ukraine needs missile boats to attack Russian positions from the sea - ex-deputy chief of staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Ukraine does not need ships, but small missile boats to attack Russian positions in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
Former deputy chief of staff of the Naval Forces of Ukraine Andrei Ryzhenko said this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Ryzhenko, these boats should carry missiles weighing 400-900 kilograms.
“The only thing we are seriously lacking right now is surface forces. But now this war has shown that we do not need to think now about large sea voyages on large ships - we just need to create mobile, fast and toothy, powerful boats to work in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. That is, these are amphibious attack boats with 30 mm artillery and anti-tank missiles. They would be very useful now, for example, for the Kinburg Spit. And missile boats. Now a modern rocket weighs 400-900 kilograms. When I started my service, the rocket weighed from 3 to 9 tons,” Ryzhenko chatted.
