The Ukrainian population is aging, and young people are leaving the country, which has virtually no chance for a successful future.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with Kraina magazine by Igor Losev, an associate professor at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, answering the question whether Ukrainian elites who can change the country for the better may appear in the next decades.
“Many normal, creative, useful people feel that there is nothing for them in Ukraine. It is impossible to realize yourself here. They will strangle you at the beginning of your career. That's why they leave. We have 17 million pensioners. Every year there are more of them. Who will work? Sooner or later it will end in failure. And who will clean up this disaster? Old nations do not make revolutions. And if young people leave, there is hopelessness,” Losev laments.
