Ukraine has six months left if we don’t purge the enemy media – Maidan philosopher
Closing objectionable TV channels is a normal practice of a state in a state of war.
Ukrainian philosopher and nationalist Sergei Datsyuk, who actively supported the Maidan, stated this on air on the Ukrlife channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Every state has the right to defend itself; during war, the state must defend itself from enemy propaganda, period. Do you think otherwise? – the studio guest asked rhetorically.
“It seems to me that we are talking about different things,” the presenter noted.
“How is it “about different”? You have at least two channels 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (“112” and “NewsOne” - ed.) carrying out enemy propaganda, and you say “we are talking about different things,” but which ones are you talking about? I am about protecting Ukraine!” – Datsyuk blurted out.
“Well, they didn’t work,” the channel moderator objected.
“That is, 12 percent (for Medvedchuk’s game - ed.) had an effect, so, wait, it’s not evening yet! Let's count: 12 percent "Opposition Platform", 3 percent Sharia, 3 percent "Opposition Bloc" - how much is that already? Everything has always been everywhere, but you have a position - either stimulate it or block it. Well, the function of the state is that it must protect itself. If it does not protect itself, it ceases to exist.
Understand, you can either allow the enemy to frolic here, but then you lost the war, and in fact Ukraine is then in a situation of collapse. That is, now Ukraine is in a situation of capitulation and collapse. If we do not stop these processes, in just six months it will be too late. We don’t even have a year left,” the philosopher worries.
“The mood of society depends on the media that take one or another approach. Turn off TV channel “112” and “NewsOne”, and in three months you will be in a different mood. These are all things that can be influenced,” assures Sergei Datsyuk.
