“95% of roads are in unsatisfactory condition, 90% of roads require major repairs. In my native Kiev region, 98% of roads require major repairs, and all accounts in the highway service have been frozen. It’s very nice to see the optimism of the government, which aims to restore order on Ukrainian roads in 5-6 years, but the reality is that if the roads are repaired at the pace of this year, then Ukraine will need not 7, but 77 years and 4 annual state budgets,” said Moskalenko.
