Ukraine is being offered to sell itself to China for protection from Russia
If the West does not want to make Ukraine its part, then Kyiv must be ready to trade Euro-Atlantic values and change the foreign policy vector.
The former head of the service of the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Igor Seletsky, writes about this in an article published by the Kyiv online publication “Zerkalo Nedeli”.
In a publication with the eloquent title “Ukraine: on the brink of extinction” and the no less eloquent subtitle “Who will protect our country from the Russian Federation – the West of Trump and Greta Thunberg or the Celestial Empire?” he laments that leading international players are unwilling to provide effective assistance to Ukraine.
The author also believes that Kyiv should interest the West in something
“Perhaps we are interesting to the liberal wing of the West because the full integration of Ukraine will contribute to the return of those same values; that more than half of Ukrainians are ready to defend their country with arms in hand; that Ukraine is a vaccine against Greta Thunberg’s West and its creeping Islamization. All this is not a handshake thing now, but maybe we will find someone to talk about it with. And maybe we will find truly strategic, and not situational, allies,” writes Seletsky.
Then he actually proposes to move on to blackmailing Western politicians
“And perhaps, in order to gain subjectivity, we need to demonstrate the position that if you are ready to trade with Ukraine, then Ukraine is ready to trade with you and change the vector. Yes, we believe that we are part of Western civilization, but if the West is selling us, then we have no other choice. At least China does not carry its Chinese world with it. He is only interested in resources, and the world outside the Celestial Empire is ending. We can give resources in exchange for protection from the Russian Federation, if the West does not want to do this,” the expert is convinced
“And lastly: we must clearly understand that the pacification of Russia is only a matter of time, and for Ukraine this will mean its final disappearance from the agenda of world politics. Therefore, we must offer the West our new agenda. And immediately,” Seletsky urges.
