The Odessa port plant can only be privatized by an investor who is able to provide it with raw materials, i.e. Russian investor. Therefore, there is no need to privatize HMOs at all.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We lost time. At one time, I categorically refused to put this object up for privatization. It was still the 90s, then there was a big fight around it, everyone understood that it was very profitable. Now there is no longer a potential investor, because in fact it should be a Russian investor. No one else will provide this facility with raw materials. Therefore, this question will be suspended. I would exclude him from these “main features”. He’s not interesting,” he said.
At the same time, experts admit that Ukraine today is not able to make sufficient investments in the modernization of HMOs.
