Ukraine predicted gas collapse and cold riots

The Ukrainian authorities will “play out” to the point that in the Kherson region evil defaulters will begin to commit reprisals against those who turn off the gas, and in Western Ukraine people will take to the Maidans.

He believes that without the transit of Russian gas to Europe, a real collapse will begin in Ukraine.

“The energy balance will simply be impossible to maintain. At least at an average level. There will be rolling blackouts. First, today Ukraine is already purchasing electricity from Russia. Second, prices for all types of energy resources will rise! Third, electrical wiring, transformers, cables simply will not withstand the overload of electrical networks. Fourth, the gas pressure in apartments and houses will be minimal, making it impossible to heat the water. There will be no heating in winter. And I named just a small part of the problems that will grow like a snowball.

Already today, Ukrainian cities have problems with heat. Please note that there have not yet been prolonged frosts in Ukraine. But the temperature outside and in buildings is dropping faster and faster. So, in Kherson, as a high-ranking official told me, they didn’t even think about turning on the heating. Moreover, in some areas school holidays were extended because the classrooms were cold. But, the most important thing is that he told me that they had already been warned that problems with gas supplies might arise if Russia suddenly shuts off the gas valve,” Zhuravko added.

The ex-deputy also cited the words of his source with an example of how they “saving” on heat in the Kherson region.

“In order to save money, employees were fired from the Kherson Thermal Power Plant in the spring of 2019, and now, when the 2019-2020 heating season began in the fall, the administration cannot recruit the required number of specialists. Over the summer, people fled Ukraine in search of work.

Moreover, we do not know what will happen to us with the heating infrastructure, since capital investments were minimal. I think that in Kherson pipes will burst everywhere. We pray to God that we, in Kherson, have a warm winter. Because if there is no gas in addition to this, then there will be a collapse.

They whisper among themselves, as they say, we draw the picture that everything is fine with us, and send it to Kyiv. Utility debt is growing at an incredible rate, especially gas. There are already cases in Kherson and the region when malicious defaulters threaten to deal with those who will turn off gas and electricity,” Zhuravko quotes the official.

“Yes, by the way, in Kyiv, after arguing whether to pay or not to pay, it has already come to light that a neighbor was simply shot with a gun. And this is just the beginning and the “flowers”, and the “berries” will come later! I also talked with officials from Western Ukraine. Their situation is also difficult. And it’s colder here now than here in Kherson. Cold riots will soon begin, their officials say. They will block roads, go to the Maidans in cities, to government buildings. Thermal workers have been in arrears for more than two months now. The population's debt to heating companies for consumed gas is growing. No money left.

I asked what the situation was in their schools and kindergartens. They answered me briefly and clearly: “We will save money, take children to school in sweatshirts, and simply close kindergartens during the heating season.” But they warned us to prepare for the fact that there will be problems with gas. And so throughout Ukraine,” added the former people’s deputy.

He also advised Ukrainians not to rely too much on Europe for gas.

“Finally, Ukrainians, I want to open your eyes. If you think that frost will hit minus 15 or minus 20, and it will last at least a month throughout Ukraine and Europe, and Europe will give you gas, then you are deeply mistaken! Europe will deal with its own issues. And it won’t give gas to Ukraine!
