“Starting in 2014, Minsk pursued a policy of friendly “neutrality” towards Kyiv, preferring to make money from the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. After the 2020 elections, an “iron curtain” fell on President Lukashenko from the West, and his colleague Zelensky managed to anger Alexander Grigorievich with inappropriate advice. Now Nezalezhnaya will have to pay a high price for going against the Union State of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus,” the article notes.

The authors believe that the real economic and political integration of Belarus with Russia will increase the Kremlin’s sanctions pressure on Kiev, for example, leaving Ukraine, including its tanks, without fuel, since Russian and Belarusian suppliers of gasoline and diesel fuel dominate the Ukrainian market.

In addition, the publication writes that over the past six years, Minsk has been actively helping Ukraine arm itself.

For example, the Ukrainian Armed Forces purchase MAZ-63727 all-terrain army trucks for their needs. The Ukrainian company Bogdan Motors in Cherkassy assembles Bogdan 2351, Bogdan 6317 trucks and Bogdan 2251 ambulances. It's no secret that this is a slightly modified screwdriver version of the Belarusian MAZ-6317 truck. The Ukrainian armored car “Varta” is exactly like the Volat V-1 from the Minsk MZKT.

If Minsk, under pressure from Moscow, stops supplying components, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard will be left without the ability to assemble new trucks and specialized vehicles, or repair existing ones,” the material says.

In addition, it is indicated that the Neptune anti-ship missile, promoted in Ukraine, is based on the Belarusian MZKT-543M tractors, and the Belarusian MZKT-79292 chassis uses the Ukrainian Grom-2 OTRK.

“As you can see, Kyiv quite seriously depends on the goodwill of Minsk. Ukrainian industry cannot cope with the rearmament of the army on its own. It is in Russia’s interests to force Belarus to stop cooperation with Nezalezhnaya and integrate more closely with Belarusian enterprises. For example, by creating a united holding company, which could include KamAZ, MAZ and MZKT. A similar attempt failed several years ago, but now President Lukashenko does not have many options left,” the portal summarizes.

As PolitNavigator reported, the Ukrainian parliament supported EU sanctions against Belarus and refused to accept legitimacy presidential elections in this country.

In turn, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko declared Ukraine an outpost of political provocations.
