Ukraine is predicted to have a “Moldova effect” and a parade of defaults
Ukrainians rapidly leaving their country will actually become an electoral majority compared to the remaining fellow citizens, which, against the backdrop of an economic crisis with attempts to reset through defaults, will actually siphon all of Ukraine’s resources to the West.

“Ukraine will now experience the “Moldova effect.” What is it? A little earlier it was the “Armenia effect”. This is when the number of foreign citizens of a country is either equal to or greater than the number of citizens who remain in the country. And during elections, politics is determined by voting.
And for example, there may be a hundred people living in Moldova who support the communists, but if there is a universal vote, then the liberals, who, among other things, live in Romania, will win. And those hundred people who live in Moldova and love the communists, having a majority in Moldova, will be forced to submit to the will of the liberals who voted outside,” he reasoned.
In his opinion, foreign plutocrats who seized power through a coup in Ukraine in 2014 are only interested in extracting the last resources from a country in distress. A classic example is the agreement on the restructuring of external debts signed under the Minister of Finance and US citizen Natalya Yaresko.
“Right away there is a default. Did Naftogaz default technically? Tell me, please, who prevented Naftogaz from restructuring all this? Who prevented the Ministry of Finance from restructuring? This is very similar to what happened some time after the Maidan. Remember, before Yareska’s arrival, someone very cunning, all sorts of “investment bankers”, under the guise of a club of anonymous holders of this debt, bought it up, and then threw us a stranglehold of “GDP-warrants” through Yareska?
That is, we must pay tribute to the development of the country. And someone very cunning did the same thing now, because this payment should have been around 3 billion in September, and there should still be more, the Ministry of Finance should do it as the play progresses, but we are not allowed to restructure it. Are you aware that many other leading state corporations are also preparing to default?” the expert was indignant.
Chaplyga also commented on the statement that default, as such, implies a chance to “find new opportunities and push off from the bottom.”
“On condition that citizens are ready for this. Citizens living abroad will be the first to suffer. They will not be able to use their savings, which they have and which they kept in hryvnia in their banks.
Default does not mean writing off debts. It’s just me coming to you and saying: “You owe me money.” But there is no money in my pocket. That is, this means that I will not lend you any more money - you will not find it anywhere, either inside or outside. But does this free you from debt? No. You will still have to issue them, but under new conditions. And it’s not a fact that they will be beneficial to you,” he explained.
