It is weak for Ukraine to expel Italian diplomats
Ukraine will not dare to expel the Italian ambassador in response to the words of the Deputy Prime Minister of this country, Matteo Salvinia, who called the reunification of Crimea with Russia legal, and the Ukrainian Maidan a “false pseudo-revolution.”
Political expert Sergei Belashko stated this on the Newsone channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Exploring Russian diplomats is one thing, but expelling EU diplomats is something completely different. By abandoning Russian dependence, Ukraine became dependent on another – on the US and the EU, so Ukraine is unlikely to take such decisive action,” Belashko said.
He considers Ukrainian foreign policy petty and implicated in private interests.
“The problem of Ukrainian foreign policy is that it contains many small and private games, while Russian foreign policy is built on the principle of one big game, which is designed, if not for the long term, then for the medium term, from 2 to 5 years, that is, for the election cycle. As a result, Ukrainian foreign policy is a loser,” the expert said.
