Ukrainian oligarch, ex-governor of the Kyiv-controlled part of the Donetsk region, Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Taruta stated this in an interview with Kraina magazine.
According to him, one of the weakest aspects of the Ukrainian economy is external debt.
“Unbearable,” Taruta clarifies. – General – up to 120 billion dollars, state – 78 billion. To calculate only by interest, GDP growth of 6 percent is necessary.”
At the same time, the publication clarifies that last year Ukraine’s GDP, according to official data, grew by 1,8 percent; this year, the Ukrainian government predicts GDP growth of 2–3 percent.
