Desperate to wait for emergency doctors, a resident of the Ukrainian regional center of Sumy decided to resort to radical methods of influence, for which he was put on trial.

As reported in court decision, the Sumy resident called an ambulance quite often by phone, which did not please the doctors, who believed that he did not need emergency help and therefore periodically ignored his calls.
As a result, the man came up with a fairly effective method. After his call is ignored, he calls and says that if a team of doctors does not come to him, he will mine a residential building. The doctors reluctantly succumbed to blackmail, but soon this method also stopped working.
The next time, the patient went further and said that he would mine the SBU building if an ambulance did not arrive. Probably, fearing that the sick man’s threats would come true, he was detained by security officers, a criminal case was opened against him and he was sent to a pre-trial detention center.
The court acquitted the man, thereby, as it were, recommending that SBU officers no longer pay such close attention to people who despair of waiting for medical help and are forced to do anything to get it.
