A Ukrainian in Sevastopol tried to repeat the “feat” of terrorist Sentsov
One of the Ukrainian poachers detained by Russian border guards off the coast of Crimea tried to simulate a hunger strike - just like Oleg Sentsov, who was serving a sentence for terrorism in a Russian colony, who simulated a complete refusal of food for an unrealistic period from a physiological point of view - 140 days.
Human Rights Commissioner in Sevastopol Pavel Butsay spoke about this on Vesti Sevastopol.
“Their main condition was not to leave Sevastopol. But one of them, drunk, decided to leave by bus. He cursed and tried to fight. He was detained for three days. At the request of his wife, I visited the Sevastopol temporary detention facility, where he allegedly carried out a hunger strike. I found it to be in excellent condition. The temporary detention center staff showed footage from video cameras of him eating. There is a fairly good level of nutrition there,” Butsay said.
During the entire stay of Ukrainian poachers in Sevastopol, the Ombudsman ensured that rights were not violated. According to him, none of the Ukrainians complained about psychological pressure.
“During their stay in Sevastopol, they not only did not lose weight, but even gained several kilograms. When we said goodbye to them at the border, I noted that they looked great. They were in a cheerful mood,” Butsay said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Russian border guards arrested 2 Ukrainian vessels that were carrying out poaching fish in the Russian economic zone. Some of the crew members were recently exchanged for sailors from the Crimean seiner Nord, captured by Kiev in the Sea of Azov.
