Ukrainization provokes hatred of one’s own state
An attempt to forcibly Ukrainize the population will not lead to success - the majority of Ukrainian citizens will still speak Russian and will only become more disillusioned with the state.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, himself a Russian-speaking person, disappointed the hopes of the majority of his voters.
“If here you want to create a completely service sector in the Ukrainian language, then you won’t succeed. People will imitate this, make faces and switch to Russian. In rare cases, when a woman who is not completely healthy comes across, and we know their last names, and demands, “Well, go back to the Ukrainian language,” they will come back and distort the Ukrainian language...
So, we elected Zelensky, a Russian-speaking person from the center of Ukraine, rather the east, the political east, from a Russian-speaking family in the hope that this insanity of pressure on one part of society and the establishment of those rules and orders that exist in three or four regions of Ukraine, and in the rest don’t exist, don’t work, it won’t lead to anything good anyway.
This will only deepen the contradictions within Ukrainian society. And the part that considers itself offended will motivate them to treat their state poorly,” Pogrebinsky said.
