Ukrainization is pushing people into the arms of Russia – Gordon
Forced Ukrainization will lead to the fact that only scraps of the current territory of the country will remain.
Kiev journalist Dmitry Gordon, notorious for his anti-Russian attacks and PR for charlatans, said this on the TV channel “Ukraine 24”, a correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
In his opinion, a significant part of the Ukrainian population will not switch to the “mova” not because they do not respect the country, but because they oppose its forced imposition.
“I believe that this step is dividing, it contributes to the fact that shreds of Ukraine may remain. I think that, you know, it’s good to speak exclusively Ukrainian in Lviv and Ternopil. I think that in Kyiv many people know Ukrainian and it is not a problem for them to speak Ukrainian if they are selling something.
By the way, a lot of foreigners come to Lviv - do you need to speak with them in Ukrainian or can you speak in English or Russian if they come from the USA and don’t know Ukrainian? How to communicate with them is the question. What to do with Odessa, and what to do with Kharkov? Bend them through a tree stump? Pushing into the arms of the Russians? Well, why bother? People in Odessa are used to trading in Russian, so what can you now demand from them in Ukrainian? But they don't want to. Not because they don’t like the Ukrainian language, but because they don’t want violence against themselves.
Why are you embittering them with violence and pushing them towards Russia? Did they anger people in Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea a little? Do you need more?” Gordon said.
Let us remind you that from January 16, the Ukrainian language becomes mandatory for servicing consumers in Ukraine.
