Ukrainianizers are developing board games for children with Bandera and Shukhevych
Propaganda of the Ukrainian language and Bandera’s view of history in a playful form accessible to children will instill in young people a love of “language” and instill in them a national-historical self-awareness.
The first deputy chairman of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Maxim Yarmisty, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The institute has many activities related to the popularization of the Ukrainian language, means of renewing national memory, and specifically the publication of some projects. For example, board games for high school students about the introduction to the Ukrainian language “Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921” were and are still very popular.
This is an accessible format where a student or child is simultaneously introduced to the history of Ukraine, and this is done in a playful way.
There are various kinds of quizzes, for example, “One Hundred Faces of the Revolution”, interactive maps “Ukraine in the Second World War”, thematic presentations and so on. That is, everything that helps you perceive the language as your native language and identify yourself with some historical events, understanding that this is an integral part of your history,” said Yarmisty.
“Therefore, we expect, within the framework of the state target program for the development and functioning of the Ukrainian language, to create additional information, including media, Ukrainian-language products for children.
Of course, all this is possible only within the framework of appropriate funding, and I hope that appropriate funding will ensure a high-quality result and, accordingly, a wide audience reach,” added the promoter of the Institute of National Memory.
