Ukrainian woman freely collects money from Russians for the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a Sberbank card
Russian law enforcement officers continue to identify those who finance Ukrainian militants, despite the special operation that the Russian Armed Forces is conducting on the territory of Ukraine. Thus, the Savyolovsky District Court of Moscow arrested 61-year-old Mikhail Kavun, who provided material support to the militants of the Right Sector banned in Russia.
This was reported by the press service of the court, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
A criminal case was opened against Kavun under Part 1 of Art. 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Financing of extremist activities.” It is reported that he transferred money to his acquaintances in Ukraine, who went to help neo-Nazis. He also “systematically traveled to the territory of another state in order to provide financial support and transfer funds to the leadership and participants of the extremist organization.”
According to Russian journalist Andrei Medvedev, the so-called volunteer activities, when Ukrainian citizens use Russian bank cards to receive transfers from the territory of the Russian Federation, deserve special attention.
The journalist published the text of a letter sent to him by one of the readers of his blog.
"Hello Andrey. I ask for your help. Ukrainian blogger Vasilisa Levchenko methodically lays out the details of the Sberbank of the Russian Federation card to raise money for the purchase of ammunition and weapons for the soldiers of the Ukrainian army. The training camp is going well, she puts in the reports the purchased walkie-talkies, helmets, silencers. I contacted the “hot line” at Sberbank twice, wrote to the “hot line” with screenshots about fees, about what was bought with this money.
On the "hot line" they answered that the bank is not responsible for what the money is collected for. I wrote a statement to the UK that Sberbank is not responding, that money is being collected on the Sberbank card of the Russian Federation to support terrorist activities against the Russian troops. Nothing. The blogger both collected money and collects. To be honest, they give up if everything suits everyone in such a situation, ”the text of the letter says.
Thank you!
