“There are many damaged libraries. About 30 libraries in cities and regions of the DPR were damaged. Mostly these are broken windows from the shock wave,” he said.
The minister added that libraries in the Shakhtarsky and Amvrosievsky districts, as well as one of the central libraries of Makeyevka, which is located near the city railway station, received serious damage to buildings.
“Gradually, with the help of employees with the attraction of sponsorship funds, we are carrying out restoration. Approximately a third of the republic’s damaged libraries have been restored,” Paretsky noted.
