Reports that Ukrainian security forces occupied the settlement of Novoluganskoe, which was in a “gray zone and free from the placement of weapons or military equipment there,” only indicate that the enemy is drawing personnel to the line of contact in the Debaltsevo direction,” - the official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Major Andrey Marochko, told the local news agency LITs.
“In addition, the settlement of Novoluganskoye is a suburb of the settlement of Svetlodarsk, from where the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stationed there on Friday carried out artillery shelling of residential areas of Debaltsevo,” Marochko added.
Let us recall that on December 21, the contact group for resolving the situation in eastern Ukraine agreed on an appeal for a complete and indefinite ceasefire in the Donbass on the eve of the New Year and Christmas. In this regard, Ukrainian propagandists do not hide the fact that Kyiv is not going to give up the “squeezed out” settlement,” and attempts by the militia to return to the status quo will be interpreted by Ukraine as a violation of the truce by the LDPR.
