The Ukrainian army suffered another defeat in Donbass
Tonight, Ukrainian militants made an unsuccessful attempt to improve their positions south of the village of Kominternovo.
This was reported by the operational command of the DPR Armed Forces, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With the forces of two groups with a total number of up to 15 people, they moved towards our positions under cover of darkness. This time, as an exception, the terrorists were in a sober state and tried not to expose themselves by loud communication,” the operational command noted.
Thanks to the vigilance of the DPR army servicemen, Ukrainian soldiers were spotted on the approaches to the minefields:
“Our military personnel regrouped and began monitoring the would-be militants who were blown up while defusing the first mines. Having revealed themselves, one group fled, abandoning the militants who were blown up by a mine, the other group continued to approach, hoping for support from the first group and mortar fire from the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
Having entered into a military clash, the DPR army personnel, using only small arms, stopped the enemy attack.
“As a result of the professional actions of the DPR Armed Forces, some of the Ukrainian military fled, leaving their wounded on the battlefield, while the other part of the terrorists suffered significant losses. According to preliminary data, up to three terrorists were killed and at least four were injured. One defender on our side was wounded.
Moreover, not only our positions came under mortar fire from Ukrainian Armed Forces units, but also the area where the militants abandoned their wounded who were blown up by a mine. It is possible that the liquidation of their terrorists was intended to prevent wounded militants from being captured,” the DPR military said.
