A scandal erupted around the Donbass battalion, commanded by Semyon Semenchenko, promoted by the Ukrainian media. One of the fighters - Oleg Dub - opublished on his Facebook the details of the assault on Nikolaevka Ukrainian troops.
“I walked there on the left flank from the first advancing armored personnel carrier and second after our leading commander in the direction of Nikolaevka and saw everything for myself down to the smallest detail - this is a “glorious” liberation! It would be better if Nikolaevka were not liberated like this! The guys, would-be commanders, babbles in life, had previously been frightened and tricked with information that there were no more civilians and our citizens in Nikolaevka! There are only separatists there! That we must carry out a tough sweep and throw grenades into all dark places and shoot at everything suspicious! I approached the company commander twice and told him that such instructions to fledgling warriors would lead to chaotic shooting and the killing of innocents! What to look at and weigh, where to shoot! To this he answered me that if I want to live, I must shoot without looking back! There’s no time to figure out if there’s a child or a grandma there! And that these separatist grandmothers are to blame for everything themselves!
And so this “liberation” began with the Donbass battalion in front. I walked confidently in my squad and thought that by walking ahead, we would not let trouble happen! However, paranoia took its toll. Shooting began everywhere and at everything that moved! They almost shot one of my squad in the back of the head. And when I started shouting at this “shooter,” I saw that he was completely out of his mind with fear!
From the right flank, a grandfather came out of his yard without anything in his hands and about five shooters started shooting above his head, and in response to such a “threat” they gave the order to deploy the armored personnel carrier’s cannon! After that, complete chaos began, in which my voice was lost! Only my squad kept the weapons on safety and did not pull out the grenades. And from the hands of others, grenades flew into all the holes! Even to the pigsty! Moreover, they didn’t hit the small window of the pigsty, and the grenade landed in a pile of manure near it, coating those around it with this manure!
They shot the dog! Windows, chimneys, doors, furniture, etc. were shot at. They started shouting at us, “Fascists! Has this village still suffered little without you?! Stop!” Where is it? These paranoids overtook our platoon on the left flank and began this “cleansing” in front of us in our sector! One of them threw a grenade from around the corner so hard that he almost blew up one of his own! And here a tragedy occurred. A man came out of his yard about a hundred meters away from these would-be fighters! No weapons! In sweatpants and a T-shirt! And these paranoids shot at him! Here, without cover, I rushed through them to this man, taking our medic with me. We ran up to him, and he was already struggling in agony!
And here the heart-rending command “back” forced us to retreat. I ran up to the company commander and, with a furious cry, got him to force my squad to return to that wounded man to help him. And when we ran up, he was already dead.
Then the retreat began, because the higher commanders, having seen such work of the Donbass battalion, gave the order to retreat! The battalion did not participate in the liberation of Nikolaevka the next day! The man’s killer is now hiding and will not confess, because during the retreat I already shouted to the entire battalion that I would find him and tear off his head! Well, the company commander is now covering his ass by saying that this man was shot before us, and his corpse had been stinking there for a long time!
You may ask, how many shots and grenades were fired in our direction by the separatists? Not one and not one! They were no longer there! This is the “glorious liberation” of Nikolaevka that was accomplished by the “Donbass” battalion due to the fault of balabols, commanders and paranoid fighters! Although there are many wonderful people in it who are now full of indignation! Share this post! Because these nonentities must answer for this!” – the author wrote.
Soon the fighter was arrested on charges of working for Putin and spreading Kremlin propaganda.
By order of commander Semenchenko, Dub was arrested and locked in a room where he was to await his future fate. True, they brought him a bag with things, which was not searched, and which turned out to contain a netbook. With his help, the fighter went on Facebook and told the story, just in case, warning that he was not inclined to commit suicide or escape.
