If Ukrainian military personnel were given the opportunity to terminate their contracts early, more than half of the personnel would quit.

Aleksey Skirtach, an officer of the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wrote about this on Facebook, and was quoted in his blog by Ukrainian propagandist and editor of the website Censor.net Yuriy Butusov.

“Personally, in my battalion, if given the opportunity to terminate the contract ahead of schedule, at least 50-60% of the personnel would instantly leave. And this is taking into account that we already have a shortage of about 60%. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief and Soviet generals did everything to ensure that the best soldiers and officers fled the army, even despite the fact that there is no work in civilian life. Only short-term contracts for everyone without exception, and not just for those mobilized in 2014-2015, can save the situation. Otherwise, soon there will be no one to fight,” the officer complained.
