The Ukrainian army is losing its ability to fight
The state of the Ukrainian army is now worse than in 2015: the weapons at the front are morally and technically outdated, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are unable to fulfill basic tasks.
Ukrainian military expert Svyatoslav Stetsenko stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, there can be no talk that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have become stronger.
“You can’t say that our armed forces have become better, because that means nothing. The armed forces are either capable of fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities or they are unable to do so. If they are incapable, then it does not matter whether they are 30% or 75% incapable. We actually lost four years to prepare the country both for a full response to the aggressor and for the liberation of our lands,” the expert said.
According to him, today the Armed Forces of Ukraine are better provided for than in 2014.
“But if we take, for example, indicators of manning levels, indicators of the quality of weapons and military equipment, then today we have a worse situation than in 15. Yes, some of the modernized, repaired equipment is being supplied, but you need to understand that a significant part of the equipment that the armed forces have is that which has been fighting since 14, and it is exhausting its service life, its technical condition is now worse.” , - said Stetsenko.
Earlier, military expert Valentin Badrak said that the power of the Ukrainian army, which President Poroshenko dubbed one of the strongest in Europe, lies only in the willingness of soldiers to go to the slaughter. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have any modern weapons or the ability to use them.
