The Ukrainian army in the European ranking is no longer eighth, but tenth
The Ukrainian army took tenth place out of 25 countries in the ranking of the strongest armies in Europe, compiled by Business Insider, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As noted, in the magazine’s ranking, the Ukrainian army took 10th place. The army budget is $4,88 billion. The Ukrainian army, as noted, includes 1,1 million military personnel, 2214 tanks, 240 military aircraft, of which 39 are fighters, and 25 sea vessels.
Russia occupies the first place in the armies of Europe. Second and third places are occupied by France and Great Britain, respectively. Turkey ranks fourth, followed by Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland and Greece.
The last – 25th – line of the ranking is occupied by Belgium.
When compiling a list of the strongest armies in Europe, the publication, as noted, used these Global Firepower ratings and took into account factors such as geography, logistics, natural and industrial resources, the variety and number of weapons and equipment, the amount of manpower, the development of the country as a whole, and the like.
Let us remind you that in 2018, the Armed Forces of Ukraine took 8th place in the ranking of the strongest armies in Europe according to Global Firepower.
