Ukrainian artillery becomes NATO
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to concentrate serious forces during the current offensive in the southern direction.
Military expert Dmitry Boltenkov stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In photographs of destroyed equipment and in reports from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, foreign samples are increasingly being found. This suggests that thousands of pieces of Soviet equipment inherited by Ukraine have been knocked out.
Now the artillery is represented mainly by Western calibers, American armored personnel carriers and armored vehicles, and aircraft transferred from European NATO countries are participating in the offensive. All this took six months to assemble - from the beginning of the operation - and is now burning in the Kherson region,” the analyst told Izvestia.
According to him, NATO countries have transferred to Ukraine a quantity of armored vehicles sufficient to staff several mechanized brigades.
“Some of them represent the Soviet heritage, some are Western models. And now all this “hodgepodge” is thrown into one strategic direction. It took months to prepare them, but judging by the pace at which it is being destroyed in recent days, this offensive impulse of the VFU reserves will soon dry up,” Boltenkov believes.
