Ukrainian attack on Debaltsevo has irritated the West
The actions of the Ukrainian “war party” no longer surprise the world, but do not evoke understanding among Kyiv’s Western partners. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this today at a press conference in Moscow.

“Judging by the latest events in the southeast, where last week there were fierce clashes near Debaltsevo, the Ukrainian “war party” is again trying to gain the upper hand. This absolutely immoral and irresponsible policy in our country no longer surprises anyone. It has ceased to surprise many people abroad. This is about sobering up both European politicians and Kyiv’s American partners, who are clearly expressing their, to put it mildly, misunderstanding of his actions,” Zakharova said
In her opinion, the outgoing year was virtually lost from the point of view of resolving the crisis in Donbass.
“Responsibility for this lies with the Ukrainian authorities, who in words do not stop talking about the need to consolidate society, but in reality do nothing to overcome the existing split and refuse direct dialogue with their citizens, stubbornly continue to ignore the suffering of the population of Donbass due to the blockade,” Zakharova said.
