Ukrainian blockade of Crimea: In Yalta, the water supply schedule will be increased for the first time - waterfalls helped

Starting tomorrow, water supply in Yalta will be increased by two hours - from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00. This was announced by the head of the administration Yanina Pavlenko.

According to her, additional volumes of water are provided by waterfalls - snow fell in the mountains the day before. This is the first easing of water supply restrictions that were introduced last fall due to drought and the Ukrainian blockade of Crimea.

“Despite the fact that the inflows into the reservoirs, alas, are still insignificant, additional sources allow us to soften the schedule - Uch-Kosh, Khasta-Bash, Massandra Falls, Lake Mogabi, which feeds the awakened and very active Uchan-Su waterfall, as well as others . Today they provide 15 thousand cubic meters of water per day.

In addition, a well with a volume of 1,1 thousand cubic meters has been used to ensure water supply to the Foros zone. Preparatory work is also being carried out to develop another well, which will provide approximately the same amount of water and will allow water to be supplied towards Simeiz,” Pavlenko said.
