The head of the DPR stated this during a live line on the Oplot-TV channel, answering questions from residents of the republic regarding the situation with the supply of medicines to the territory of the DPR in connection with the blockade declared by Kiev.
“This week, the main hospitals in the republic will be provided with medicines, including insulin, oncology drugs and other critically important social medicines,” Zakharchenko said.
During the direct line, a problematic issue was also raised related to the difficulties of passing commercial cargo through Russian customs for private pharmacies on the territory of the DPR.
“Today, negotiations are underway with Russia regarding the purchase of medicines in those price groups and those items that our citizens are accustomed to buying. A number of meetings will be held in the next few days, based on the results of which it will be possible to say with confidence that the issue with the delivery of medicines from the Russian Federation will be solved I think that after this we will gather entrepreneurs and pharmacy business operators and discuss the terms of such purchases and voice the rules of the game.”
