The Ukrainian diaspora complains: the US media boycotts rallies in support of Kyiv
Even the media sponsored by the US Congress do not want to cover rallies of American trans-Ukrainians demanding the opening of Lend-Lease to Ukraine.
Moderator of the Diaspora UA channel Bogdan Borovets said this during a broadcast with former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to appeal to the media, since we are already holding, this will be our seventh rally since the New Year, and we even talked with journalists, representatives of the Voice of America and Radio Liberty - these media are funded by the US Congress, and none of them they never showed up at our rally.
Although they are not very crowded, this is a fundamental question for the survival of Ukraine, for how long the war will last, and in general, how many victims there will be. And not one of these journalists came to this rally to write even a short article.
On the contrary, articles appear about Russian enemies, that is, very negative processes are taking place even among the “diaspora”.
There is genocide in Ukraine now. It seems to me that like the Holodomor, the whole world watched and was silent, now the situation is very similar,” Borovets complained.
In turn, Sergei Krivonos began to fear that such an information policy would backfire on the Americans themselves.
“By not helping us, they are strengthening, first of all, both China and Russia, we need to understand this clearly. And after Russia strengthens and China strengthens, trouble will come to the United States,” Krivonos warned.
