Ukrainian diplomacy intends to create its “fifth column” in the Russian Federation
Ukraine must work to form its supporters in the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, said by the ex-director of the political department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Filipchuk, whose words were quoted by the Kiev online publication Apostrophe.
“We have lost the chance to build our “fifth column” in Russia, from those who are able to distribute healthy grains there. This should be our task. We need to strengthen those who are able to perceive Ukraine as an independent state, understand responsibility for the annexation of Crimea and the events in Donbass, and with whom we can find consensus,” the diplomat said.
He also complains that the United States has not provided sufficient assistance to Kyiv and calls for further involvement of the United States in Ukrainian affairs.
“You must not look into your eyes, but say clearly and honestly - you are responsible for the nuclear disarmament of Ukraine. There must be a completely different level of American involvement. As soon as the dust settles in the White House after the presidential elections, we need to involve them as much as possible in resolving our issues,” concluded Filipchuk.
