Ukrainian economy is on the verge of collapse - Kiev expert
The Ukrainian economy is facing collapse due to industrial stagnation and the risk of the state losing control over strategically important areas, which may soon end up in private hands.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on the YouTube channel “UkrLife TV”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The economy is on the brink. I'm talking about the very real sector that is now on the verge of destruction. And not only because our unstable sphere of the state budget, which often acts as an instrument of balance or recompensation, cannot cope with this, but also because most of the sectors that produce that very added product are either in a state of pre-crisis, or can literally our eyes will fall out of our national strategizing.
First of all, I’m talking about the huge, now dominant agro-industrial complex. There is a sharp increase in the role of external players, who may become the main agricultural users in the near future...
Large agricultural firms with large land resources in circulation are being bought out, and some of our land magnates are subject to criticism and bankruptcy. This suggests that against the backdrop of this whole carnival associated with the change of elites, there is a real accelerated internationalization of the Ukrainian economy with the entry of very specific transnational players,” the expert concluded.
Let us recall that earlier the head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic public movement, Alexey Muratov, said that Ukrainian industry had entered a serious crisis - a sharp decline in production was observed in all industries. However new President Vladimir Zelensky and his team don’t care about this.
