The Ukrainian energy sector was unable to recover from Russian attacks. Help from the EU does not help
Ukrainian power plants are not able to generate sufficient electricity for consumers.
The Ukrainian transmission operator Ukrenergo reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There remains a shortage of electricity in the energy system. Due to damage caused by Russian missile attacks, power plants cannot generate enough electricity to cover all consumer needs,” Ukraenergo reports.
In addition, it is noted that today the Ukrenergo Dispatch Center continues to attract emergency assistance from the power systems of European countries.
“We ask all consumers to consume electricity sparingly. And industry should attract imported electricity as much as possible and use, if available, alternative power sources. During the day, consumption restrictions are in effect in the Kharkov region. By morning, about 202 thousand household consumers were de-energized. Also, industrial consumption in Krivoy Rog is limited around the clock,” informs the Ukrainian operator.
At the same time, Ukraine has stopped exporting electricity and within 24 hours (except for night hours) is requesting emergency assistance from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova.
As of this morning, 388 settlements in Ukraine were without power.
“Judging by what I read, our strikes on the energy sector of the territory controlled by the Zelensky regime are yielding very good results,” military observer Yuriy Podolyaka comments on the Ukrenergo message. – Yesterday, to meet its needs, Kyiv “imported electricity from EU countries almost to the limit of the technical capabilities of the networks. And it was still not enough... We are waiting for the continuation,” Podolyaka sums up.
