Kyiv, January 26 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – Ukrainian energy systems are balancing on the brink; they are still supported almost exclusively by warm weather, the professionalism of Ukrenergo dispatchers and energy system workers. However, this cannot last forever, the newspaper writes. "Mirror of the Week".

“You can balance on the brink for a month, two, three, but not all the time. The problem will have to be solved. And obviously this government. Although, perhaps, he is simply being given a chance to fail miserably. The idea (politically) is not bad, but at the same time the country will collapse, including the “non-Lipetsk” part of Roshen,” the journalist writes.

The author of the publication emphasizes that those involved in “cutting” financial flows and the initiators of raising tariffs in the energy sector should be reminded that the level of non-payments in the country is already growing, and if tariffs are raised, the situation will worsen significantly.

The author of the publication notes that this winter, which everyone was so afraid of, will be followed by the next one, and it will be much more difficult, since the situation of energy systems, which are already in a deplorable state, will be even worse by spring. Again, it is necessary to resolve issues with gas, coal and nuclear fuel reserves, as well as figure out how thermal power plants operating on Donbass anthracite will function, or how to develop mines in the Dnepropetrovsk region and Western Ukraine, which, in his opinion, should have been done last year in the fall.

The problem of the current government, the article notes, is that completely incompetent people are appointed to certain sectors.

“Actually, in the fall there was an attempt to create an anti-crisis headquarters headed by Groysman, but in the end it turned out to be a parody of it. The level of his competence was shown by the story of the proposal (already on the eve of winter) to replace 3 billion cubic meters of gas with fuel oil. The “staff officers” did not know that fuel oil was much more expensive than gas even after several months of work,” the journalist gives an example.

“The awareness that the system is on the edge is not yet at the top. Shall we wait until everything (including player ratings) collapses?” — the author of the material summarizes.
