Ukrainian factory began producing “Poor Jew” cake
The Slavic confectionery factory in the Kyiv-controlled part of the Donetsk region began producing a cake called “Poor Jew.”

“The plant’s plans include the production of the “Unpoor Jew” cake,” says Eduard Dolinsky, director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, ironically.
“I suspect that this is being produced by some kind of Haman, an Egyptian or a Turk, in response to the Israeli cake “Haman’s Ear,” hypothesized social network user Vanda Kovalevskaya.
“But seriously, the trick is that this cake and its name may have real historical roots. He could actually be called that in a poor Jewish environment. After laughing, it’s worth finding out more,” adds Aleksandr Shvayger.
However, some are confident that this fact does not have any politically incorrect background.
“This was not invented by a Slavic factory. If you go to any site with culinary recipes, that’s what this cake is called there,” writes Natasha Schmidt.
