This was announced by the head of the enterprise, Vsevolod Kovalchuk, during the presentation of the draft investment program for 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the department’s press service.

“We have the opportunity (after the Cabinet of Ministers approved the financial plan for 2017 in early August) to use the funds that we provided for this year - approximately 1 million UAH. This budget is enough to attract an international adviser who can start the first stage,” said the head of Ukrenergo.

According to him, for 2018, Ukrenergo plans to include in its budget more than 20 million UAH to secure the claim, while at the same time, for 2019 the budget for this item will be less. “This (UAH 20 million) is several times less than the budgets of other companies represented by the Privat group and Naftogaz of Ukraine, which have been moving in this direction for the last two years,” assures Kovalchuk.

The head of Ukrenergo clarified that the company has already formed the necessary qualification requirements for attracting an adviser and has held preliminary negotiations.

Kovalchuk expects that Ukrenergo will reach the stage of making an interim decision on the claim by the end of 2018.
