“Today, May 24, 2014, we announce the creation of the military-political organization Ukrainian Red Army,” the organization said in a video message.
“As a result of the coup d’etat, a junta of major capitalists and neo-Nazis came to power in Ukraine. The bloody events in Donbass and Odessa show that Kyiv reactionaries will stop at nothing in an effort to preserve their dictatorship,” said unknown activists.
“Today the popular forces of resistance to the junta have been driven underground. Many were arrested or fled the country, the rest found themselves in an illegal situation. As long as the possibility of peaceful resistance existed, we took advantage of it. Today, when the terror of neo-Nazis has claimed the lives of dozens of people, when our comrades are kidnapped by paramilitary militants in broad daylight right on the street, it is too late to talk about peaceful resistance. As Ulrike Meinhoff said: “When right turns into lawlessness, resistance becomes duty!” - they quote one of the leaders and theorists of the “Red Army Faction”.
“To resist the armed force of the anti-people junta, the armed force of the people's army is needed. Our tactical goal is the overthrow of the power of oligarchs and nationalists and the democratic self-determination of the people of Ukraine. To do this, we will carry out armed actions throughout the country. We exclude terror against civilians; only neo-fascist armed gangs and representatives of the junta involved in the murders of civilians in the southeast of the country will be subject to our attacks,” the UCA claims.
“We do not recognize the bloodshed elections scheduled by the junta for May 25. Therefore, our first action will be an attack on a number of polling stations in Odessa, Kharkov, Kherson and other cities,” the Ukrainian Red Army warned.
As Navigator reported, earlier the leader of the Lugansk People's Republic, Valery Bolotov, spoke about possible terrorist attacks at polling stations.
