The Ukrainian chant “Who doesn’t jump is a Muscovite”, used at Euromaidan, turned out to be a plagiarism of similar inciting slogans from the civil war in the former Yugoslavia. Journalist Sergei Belous, who lives in Serbia, talks about this in his blog.

“You thought that the chant “whoever doesn’t gallop is a Muscovite!” invented on the Ukrainian Maidan? No! I was shocked when I learned that a similar message appeared in Serbia many years ago in the fan community with the slogans “those who don’t ride are shiptar” (a derogatory name for Kosovo Albanians," he wrote.

Another parallel with Ukraine is the chant of Croatian nationalists “Srba na vrbu” (Serba na vrbu). A well-known Ukrainian analogue is “Moskalyak to Gilyak”.
