The Ukrainian “Surovikin Line” remains only on paper – Butusov’s confession
Ukraine has not even started building strategic defense lines at the front following the example of those built by the Russian Armed Forces.
Ukrainian military correspondent, chief editor of the anti-Russian propaganda site “Censor” Yuri Butusov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Butusov, the only thing the Ukrainian Armed Forces do is dig trenches with shovels.
“Friends, in order to protect people, we need strategic lines of defense. Are they being built somewhere in Ukraine? Friends, there are no strategic fortifications at the front, nothing even close to what Russia is doing.
As it was not built, it is not being built now. That is, people are not being saved, people’s strength is not being saved, and there are big losses because of this. And that’s why it’s hard to change everyone, because we have a line of defense - they sent people with a shovel to dig trenches for themselves, this is the line of defense. No concrete, no equipment - it’s simply not used, this is a separate initiative of individual units in individual places,” Butusov said.
