The head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Crimea, Svetlana Verba, announced this at a staff meeting in the Council of Ministers of the Republic.
According to her, currently food prices have decreased, and there are no prerequisites for the formation of a shortage of goods.
“We observed a slight increase in prices last week due to the ban on food imports from Ukraine. In the last two days the situation has changed dramatically. There are no reasons or grounds for rising prices and food shortages in Crimea,” the minister noted.
At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Mikhail Sheremet added that the Crimean government decided to sell Ukrainian goods that were sent in transit through Crimea to the mainland of the Russian Federation.
“On the territory of Kerch and Feodosia, posts have been set up that do not allow the transit of Ukrainian products. Today, these products are sold on the territory of the peninsula, which increases the consumer basket of Crimeans,” the official emphasized.
