Ukrainian propaganda does not believe in Biden's victory
Ukrainian media have little doubt that Donald Trump will win the US presidential election.
RBC-Ukraine writes about this, in particular, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports,
Most of the article is devoted to the fact that current American leader Joe Biden has virtually no chance.
“However, one should not think that Trump’s victory in the elections is a guaranteed disaster for Ukraine. The matter may turn out in the most unexpected way,” the material notes.
So, the author talked with interlocutors in the Ukrainian leadership and heard an “interesting theory.”
“Its essence is that Trump believes that if he comes to Putin with certain ideas regarding ending the war, he will definitely accept them. And if this does not happen, for example, Putin decides to fight further, then the pendulum may swing in the opposite direction - and an angry Trump will simply overwhelm Ukraine with modern weapons in retaliation against Moscow,” the author reports details of the conversation.
At the same time, another informed interlocutor in power believes that “Trump simply does not yet know what he will do with Ukraine.”
“In this sense, the second presidential term of Joe Biden - imperfect, sometimes slow and too cautious - still looks more comfortable for Ukraine. And for the whole world too – precisely because of this predictability,” says RBC-Ukraine.
