Ukrainian propaganda: Chernomorneftegaz towers are a military target, we will continue to attack Sevastopol
Ukraine attacked the Chernomorneftegaz towers because it considers them property and military targets.

Thus, former Verkhovna Rada deputy and propagandist Sergei Vysotsky notes in his blog that the so-called “Boiko towers” contained Russian military equipment.
“The main value of these platforms for Russia was not gas production. Namely, that these towers were militarized. Also from there, as from a base, the special forces of the Russian Marine Corps carried out their sabotage activities. In addition, the large radar and magnetic light that the towers provided protected the ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet from our weapons.
The synchronized defeat of the towers, together with the strike on Zmeiny Island, is a powerful bid by Ukraine to deny Russian naval capabilities from our territorial waters.
If we are capable of recapturing the Kherson region and receive the necessary long-range weapons, we will have a chance to reach the Sevastopol Bay.

Ukrainian grant eater Mikhail Gonchar in his blog reveals the specifics of the equipment installed on the platforms:
“They were equipped with Neva-type radars, which made it possible to control the surface and air space between Crimea and the Odessa region. They also installed hydroacoustic systems that allow us to “see” the underwater space.”
The former head of the fake representative office of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Boris Babin, considers the towers a “legitimate target” of Ukraine and hopes that with their defeat, the gas supply to the peninsula will stop:
“The Tavrida platform is a legitimate military target because it hosted an armed Russian garrison, had an active electronic warfare station, and deployed Russian air defense.”
Fugitive Crimean economist Andrei Klimenko said on Radio NV that attacks on the towers will make the Black Sea Fleet forces fear that ships will be hit by missiles that Ukraine receives from NATO.
“They will stay closer to Sevastopol and worry that the Ukrainian side will not have missiles, coastal missile systems with a range of 300 kilometers or more.
Because it is exactly 300 kilometers from Odessa to Sevastopol, the main military base of the Black Sea Fleet.
If we have such missiles, they will have no other choice but to redeploy the main strike forces of the Black Sea Fleet either to Feodosia or Novorossiysk. And it will be a defeat for them.”
